From 01 to 04 April 2026, the Vantage Logistics team completed a business trip to attend the JCtrans Conference 2026 in Bangkok, working directly with international partners and clients seeking operational partners in Southeast Asia. The event focused on rising regional demands such as cross-border logistics, multimodal transport, and project cargo handling.

Vantage Logistics at JCtrans Conference 2026 in Bangkok

The JCtrans Conference is one of the annual gatherings of the global independent freight forwarding community, where logistics companies identify partners and establish agency networks.

At this year’s conference, the Vantage Logistics team engaged directly with numerous international partners from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East at booth F133.

Discussions centred on sharing operational experience and capabilities in Southeast Asia, a region that requires flexible coordination across different transport corridors. Through these exchanges, Vantage Logistics presented practical solutions currently implemented in the region while exploring cooperation opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency for clients.

ASEAN Logistics Market and Corridor-Specific Operational Requirements

ASEAN logistics does not operate under a single standard. Each transport route – from Viet Nam to Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, or intra-regional coastal routes – differs in customs procedures, infrastructure, and cargo handling conditions.
This creates a need for international freight forwarders to work with a local partner capable of:
  • Understanding each cross-border logistics corridor in Southeast Asia
  • Coordinating documentation and procedures across borders
  • Adjusting transport solutions in response to real-time conditions
At JCtrans 2026, Vantage Logistics focused on discussing specific operational scenarios, ranging from industrial cargo and manufacturing goods to urgent shipments and multi-leg transport routes.

Building an ASEAN Logistics Agency Network

In international freight forwarding, agency relationships are built on proven execution capability. At the conference, partners showed strong interest in how Vantage Logistics handles common operational challenges such as:
  • Cargo not suitable for standard containers
  • Multi-leg shipments across multiple countries
  • Differences in port and border infrastructure
  • Time-sensitive delivery requirements
During discussions, Vantage Logistics clarified operational approaches, defined service scope, and reinforced its role as a freight forwarder in Viet Nam capable of effectively supporting logistics routes across the ASEAN region.

Logistics Solutions Introduced at JCtrans 2026

A representative from Vantage Logistics shared:

“We observe a clear increase in cross-border logistics demand within ASEAN, particularly on routes connecting Viet Nam with Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. These corridors offer strong potential but require flexible coordination. Vantage Logistics is committed to delivering practical operational solutions that enable international partners to confidently deploy supply chains in Southeast Asia.”

Based on this, the Vantage Logistics team introduced specific service groups to meet regional transport demands:
  • Multimodal Transport: Combining road, barge, and sea transport to optimise cost and transit time on cross-border routes between Viet Nam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.
  • Project Cargo & Breakbulk: Handling oversized and heavy-lift cargo, including route planning, equipment coordination, and transport permit arrangements for industrial projects.
  • Sea & Air Freight: FCL, LCL, and urgent shipment solutions through Viet Nam’s international seaports and airports.
  • Customs Clearance: Managing import-export procedures at seaports and land borders, with advance document preparation to reduce clearance time.
  • Warehouse & Distribution: CFS and bonded warehouse services in Viet Nam, supporting clients requiring integrated storage and distribution within their supply chain.

The integration of these services enables businesses to expand from transportation to storage and distribution, meeting the needs of clients seeking end-to-end supply chain solutions in Viet Nam and across the region.

Operational-Focused Exchanges at JCtrans 2026

The value of the conference lies not only in the number of connections made, but in the ability to translate discussions into actionable operational plans.

At JCtrans 2026, the Vantage Logistics team prioritised understanding each partner’s practical requirements and how to execute them across specific ASEAN markets. These exchanges form the foundation for future cooperation, particularly in cross-border logistics routes and complex transport projects.
