Vantage Logistics Successfully Delivers Seraya Power Generation Project – Batch 4, Maintaining Schedule Despite Last-Minute Changes

Synchronising Two Loading Points Within a Single International Movement
Unlike standard shipments, Batch 4 was executed with two loading points – Hai Phong and Dung Quat (Viet Nam) – prior to shipment to Singapore. This turned the operation into a multi-layer coordination challenge: from inland transport planning and port storage management to strict adherence to vessel cut-off timelines under FAS terms.
In multi-origin operations, overall performance depends not on individual steps, but on consistency across the entire chain. Even a minor deviation can require adjustments to the full schedule.

Last-Minute Changes Before Vessel Cut-off
As the vessel schedule was confirmed and preparations neared completion, an additional 36 packages arose at Dung Quat.
This change went beyond a volume increase; it required rapid adjustments across multiple aspects, including port receiving plans, inland transport arrangements, storage allocation, and cargo handling. Crucially, all changes had to be executed without impacting the confirmed vessel schedule.

Coordinated Execution to Maintain the Timeline
Under time pressure and sudden volume changes, the approach was clear: maintain the timeline, adapt the execution.

Successful Delivery Under Changing Conditions
Despite additional cargo introduced at the final stage, the entire shipment was received, handled, and loaded on schedule.
Batch 4 followed three previously completed shipments, demonstrating the ability to maintain stable execution even when actual conditions deviate from the initial plan.

Go Back
Following three successful shipments in Q3/2025, the client continued to entrust Vantage Logistics with Seraya Power Generation Project – Batch 4. The shipment comprises Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) modules and Gas Turbine components, with a total volume of 2,500 CBM, moving from Hai Phong and Dung Quat (Viet Nam) to Singapore.

Project Highlights
- Project name: Seraya Power Generation Project – Batch 4
- Commodity: Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) modules & Gas Turbine equipment
- Volume: 2,500 CBM
- Port of Loading (POL): Hai Phong & Dung Quat, Viet Nam
- Port of Discharge (POD): Singapore
- Time of Shipment: 12/2025
- Scope of Work: Inland transportation, port handling, delivery under FAS terms, and international ocean freight
In project logistics, repeat shipments reflect the ability to sustain stable operations across multiple phases.
Batch 4 is not just a shipment; it represents the continuation of a long-term partnership, where trust is reinforced through each milestone.

Coordinated Execution to Maintain the Timeline
Under time pressure and sudden volume changes, the approach was clear: maintain the timeline, adapt the execution.
- At origin, direct coordination with the factory enabled quick confirmation of readiness for the additional cargo.
- At port, communication with agents and terminal operators was accelerated to update receiving plans and storage arrangements.
- Inland transport was restructured to ensure all cargo – including the additional packages – arrived at port within the required timeframe.
Close coordination between the production and Dung Quat port enabled the 36 additional packages to be integrated seamlessly into the main shipment without delay.
Throughout the process, technical teams and on-site supervisors were deployed continuously at both Hai Phong and Dung Quat. Each stage – loading, securing, and lashing – was closely monitored, ensuring cargo safety while minimising the risk of further disruptions within a tightly controlled schedule
