Viet Nam’s exports closed 2025 with a clear growth momentum, despite rising cost pressures and ongoing disruptions across global supply chains.

By mid-December 2025, Viet Nam’s export turnover exceeded USD 451 billion, representing an increase of nearly 17% compared with the same period last year. Total import-export value approached USD 900 billion, marking a new milestone in the country’s trade history.

Among major export groups, computers, electronic products and components posted the strongest growth, surpassing USD 100 billion for the first time. Traditional sectors such as textiles, footwear, seafood and wood products maintained steady expansion. Meanwhile, coffee and toys and sporting goods recorded sharp increases, reflecting broader market diversification.

Alongside strong growth figures, exporters continue to face operational challenges across logistics and supply chains, including:
  • Vessel schedule volatility and fluctuating freight costs
  • Heightened pressure to meet delivery timelines during peak seasons
  • Increasing demand for flexible logistics solutions by cargo type and destination market

The export momentum seen in 2025 creates clear opportunities, while also raising new requirements for logistics infrastructure upgrades, advanced supply chain management technologies and greener transport solutions to comply with increasingly strict carbon standards in key markets.
